Basic Information You Must Have Before Contacting Us

• Make and model.
• Year of manufacture or Registration number.
• Location of vehicle. Area and street.
• Do you currently have a working key.

Other information we might ask for:

• VIN number (found on MOT or V5 - log book).
• Petrol or diesel.
• Automatic or manual.

Other information you should tell us:

• If the locks have been changed.
• If there are different keys for different locks. When made all locks on a car work from one key.
• If there is an alarm.
• If there is a seperate key fob - usually means there is a non-factory fitted alarm or immobiliser.
• If the car has been sitting idle for more than a couple of weeks.
• If the car battery is likely to be flat.
• If the car has any faluts other than key related.
• If the car is a salvage vehicle.
• If the car is in a car park.
• If there is no parking near your car.

Coverage

We cover London and Essex. In the South East of England. We do not cover Scotland, Finland or Hampshire. They are too far away. Please bear this in mind if you see one of our services and we say that we need to see the car.

Remote Keys

We cannot supply remote keys at this time. If you want one you'll have to get it from the Fiat dealers. Sorry.

Ownership

We have to be sure that we are working for the legitimate owner of the vehicle. You should have a full and complete V5 (log book) in your name and supporting photo ID.

Lost Keys

If you have no keys to your vehicle, we can still make keys that will start it. We dont supply remote keys, so you may have an issue with the alarm, if one is fitted. Please be aware of our coverage (London and Essex).

We can offer a mail order service, but only on certain models and usually only vehicle made before year 2000. Email us with your details to see if we can offer this for your car.

Keys Cut To Code

We can cut keys to code, but how useful it is depends on when the vehicle was made. The code should come from the dealer.

• Before 1995, no problem.
• After 1995 the key will need to be programmed to the vehicle. The key will release the steering lock, but not start the car because of the immobiliser.

Spare Keys

A spare key is a key which is not the only key to the vehicle. We can make spare keys, but we need to see the existing key. If you have no keys see 'Lost Keys' below. How we can help depends when your vehicle was made.

• Before 1995, there were no transponder chips in keys, so we just need to see the key.
• After 1995 but before approx year 2000 (depends on model) we will need to see a working key. Please get authorisation before sending anything.
• After approx year 2000 (depends on model) spare keys need to be programmed into the vehicle.

Broken keys

We can make new keys even if you have broken your key. If its broken in a lock we can get it out - please tell us if you have put glue anywhere near the lock - you will have damaged it and well will need to bring spares. If you dont have all parts of the key, let us know.
